"Financial independence is the key to women’s empowerment and protection" - Alba Cikaqi, Jahjaga Foundation

The CREATResili project, co-funded by the Creative Europe program, aims to support abused women in Kosovo through social design tools, enabling them to achieve financial independence. In this interview, Alba Cikaqi from the Jahjaga Foundation highlights key challenges faced by women in Kosovo, including low employment rates, financial dependency, and domestic violence. She explains how CREATResili, through skill-building workshops, is providing a pathway for these women to overcome these obstacles and improve their lives. The project symbolizes the importance of cross-sector collaboration in driving meaningful change.

Global Efforts to Protect Women of Religious Minorities

Online event to observe the International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief. This annual event, established by UN General Assembly Resolution 73/296 in 2019, aims to raise awareness about religious discrimination and violence, with this year’s focus on atrocities against women.

Social Design Summer University

The CREATResili project's summer university, titled Social Design Summer University, wrapped up with thrilling outcomes. A huge round of applause goes out to all participants and organizers, but special congratulations are due to the three winners: Borbála Moravcsik, Barbara Szabó, and Annamaria Kmetyo, who earned the opportunity to participate in a prestigious residency program.
