Support for the Archdiocese of Caracas

The economic crisis that has gripped Venezuela for years has affected all social groups, leaving civil and religious organisations on the verge of their ability to function. It was in this situation that the Archdiocese of Caracas asked Hungary for help. The 98 parishes and 12 ecclesiastical vicariates are located in low-income areas where the population needs a lot of help and lacks the capacity to support their parishes, making it very difficult for parish priests and vicars to provide even basic needs such as food, clothing, personal hygiene items and insurance policies. Their pastoral work is also at risk in such circumstances. Our donation enabled the workers to pay their monthly health insurance premiums and buy medicines and basic necessities.
