Helping the parish of Nuestra Senora de la Palma in Algeciras following the attack of 25 January 2023

On the evening of 25 January 2023, a 25-year-old man attacked people with a machete in two churches in Algeciras, Andalusia. He wounded the priest of the church of San Isidro and then went to the church of Nuestra Senora de La Palma, where he killed the sacristan. Following the armed attack in Algeciras, which both the Spanish government and law enforcement authorities have classified as an act of terrorism, the community of Santander de Nuestra Senora de la Palma was offered emergency aid on behalf of the Hungarian Foreign Minister. The donation was used to alleviate the immediate effects of the attack and to renovate the roof of the church.
