Construction of an emergency department for the hospital in Thies

The Saint Jean de Dieu Hospital in the town of Thies, Senegal, is a private, non-profit institution that has become the largest healthcare provider in the region without government funding. The project has added a 260-square-metre, 21-bed emergency department to the existing infrastructure, significantly improving the quality of care, which is expected to reach 8,000 patients in the first two years.
