Huge congratulations to our scholarship holders for completing the 40th Telekom Vivicittá International Running Race with fantastic times!
After a great deal of planning and countless hours of preparation, for the first time in the history of the Scholarship Programme, our scholarship holders had the opportunity to represent both themselves and the Programme at a truly special event.
With the help of our ESC volunteers, on 12–13 April, our scholarship holders took part in two different races at the 40th Telekom Vivicittá International Running Race. What made the experience even more memorable was not only their active participation in an international sporting event, but also the opportunity to discover the landmarks of Budapest, as the race route passed through the capital’s most iconic locations.
On Saturday, the girls had the chance to show the world what girl power really means during the Telekom Vivicittá Fun Run Relay, competing in a 3×2 km relay race. On Sunday, the boys joined forces and gave it their all in the YoPRO Trio Half Marathon.
It was a particular honour for them that the team was joined and supported by none other than Mr Péter Kovács, Director General of the Hungary Helps Agency, along with several of the Agency’s colleagues.
This race is proof that our scholarship holders not only excel in their academic pursuits, but also stand strong in the world of sport.
