Restoration of the exhibition and of the centre in memory of the life of Béla Bartók in Osmaniye, Turkey

The world-famous Hungarian composer Béla Bartók's career, art and role in Turkish music are commemorated in a memorial exhibition at the Cebeli Berket Cultural Centre in Osmaniyeh, which opened in 2010. The building and the exhibition were severely damaged in the 2023 earthquake in Turkey, so there was no question that we had to help restore it. With the Hungarian support, the crumbling walls were repaired, the suspended ceilings were rebuilt, and then the tiling and painting was done. It is our hope that in the renovated centre even more people will be able to discover the art of Béla Bartók and the treasures that he collected.
