Restoration of the tower of St Bartholomew's Church in Brno

In June 2021, a tornado struck the Czech Republic. The natural disaster, which resulted in several deaths and many injuries, also severely damaged the Church of St Bartholomew in Hrusky, a village in the Diocese of Brno. The church tower collapsed and the roof structure was severely damaged. The Government of Hungary has provided support through the Hungary Helps Programme to mitigate the damage caused by the severe natural disaster and to start the reconstruction of the wind storm damaged church. With Hungary's friendly compassion and solidarity, it is now safe for worshippers to attend Sunday mass again and an important asset of the region has been saved.
