December 2025 – January 2026 | Register and upload your documents! You can start an application in the DreamApply system where your application will be processed and select the relevant study programme. Please check the eligible study fields. You can browse only one study programme, 1 choice is allowed. Make sure that your chosen programme is relevant to the field of your studies. Required documents may vary according to your level of study. You can find these documents in the current Call for Applications. It is also time to get in touch with your Local Church to obtain your Letter of Recommendation. |
10 January 2026 | Application deadline Your application must be submitted by the deadline. Please make sure that all required documents are attached and all the required fields are filled out properly before submitting your application. Please read the current Call for Applications for the details. Once your application is completed, you must press the “Submit” icon in order to submit it. |
10 January 2026 – 15 February 2026 | Technical Check, approval of church recommendations and ranking process The Hungary Helps Agency performs a formal check of the submitted applications. After the technical check, the Letters of Recommendations will be approved by the State Secretariat for the Aid of Persecuted Christians of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade responsible for the Scholarship Programme. Those applicants whose application has passed the technical check and whose Letter of Recommendation has been approved will be forwarded to the chosen Hungarian higher education institutions. Applicants will be informed about the status of the application. |
15 February 2026 – end of April 2026 | Entrance exams at Hungarian universities The universities will get in touch with the applicants directly to set a date and conduct the entrance exams from the middle of March until the middle of May. Your exam scores must be a minimum of 56 out of 100 points for your application to be considered for the final list of scholarship awardees. |

After 1 July 2026 | Hungary Helps Agency releases the final results After evaluating the applications and the results of the exams, Hungary Helps Agency will inform the applicants of the official results of the applications. |
Until 31 July 2026 | Accepting the scholarship and deadline for the missing documents Successful applicants are required to accept their scholarship in the online system (if relevant, any missing documents are also uploaded until 31 July 2026). |
July 2026 - August 2026 | Visa application and deadline for missing documents Successful applicants are required to start their visa application process and (if relevant) to submit all the missing documents. |
