CREATResili: Field Visit to Pristina – Empowering Women

Between June 22–26, 2025, a three-member delegation from the Hungary Helps Agency — Annamária Jacsó, Luca Móczár, and Fanni Hegedűs — visited Kosovo as part of the CREATResili project, implemented under the Creative Europe programme. The residency programme successfully concluded in late March, resulting in the creation of the CREATResili collection. The aim of the current visit was to reflect together on the journey that led to the development of the collection and to prepare for the final phase of the project.

During the visit, the delegation met with Arbenita Krasniqi, the local project partner and representative of the Jahjaga Foundation, who provided an in-depth overview of the foundation’s social engagement, particularly its work supporting survivors of wartime sexual violence.
One of the most impactful parts of the visit was a tour of the “Çast” (Moment) Museum, which commemorates women who suffered sexual violence during the Kosovo War. The exhibition is deeply moving and conveys a powerful message: we must remember, acknowledge, and support those who have long been silenced and stigmatized. As part of the field programme, the CREATResili fashion collection — developed in collaboration with designers Annamária Kmetyó, Borbála Moravcsik, and Miriam Coulibaly — was also presented.

The visit reaffirmed Hungary Helps’ commitment to using creative tools for social impact, and to restoring the dignity of female survivors through meaningful engagement and empowerment. With less than three months remaining until the end of the project, the final period will focus on the sale of the products and the organization of the closing event, scheduled for October 2025 — both of which are key milestones to ensuring the project’s long-term impact.
