The European Commission awarded Hungary Helps Agency with the Quality Label for Humanitarian Aid Volunteering in March 2023.

The Quality Label for Humanitarian Aid Volunteering certifies that Hungary Helps Agency is able to carry out high-quality solidarity activities in compliance with the principles, objectives and requirements of the action ‘European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps’. Holding the Quality Label enables Hungary Helps Agency to design and implement humanitarian volunteer projects in consortium with other certified organisations in the frame of the European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps.

Projects implemented under the European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps aim at preserving life, preventing and alleviating human suffering, maintaining human dignity and strengthening the capacity and resilience of vulnerable or disaster-affected communities in third countries. This action gives the opportunity to young people aged 18 to 35 years old to contribute to society by short-term or long-term volunteering activities aimed at improving living conditions of people in need. These projects must be in line with the humanitarian aid principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence, as well as with the ‘do no harm’ principle.
