The Croatian government has announced that next year’s budget will provide funding for the creation of a new scholarship program to provide higher education opportunities in Croatia for Christian youth from developing countries.

The launch of the Croatian program was initiated by Ms. Marijana Petir and based on the model of the Hungarian Scholarship Programme for Christian Young People, which has been operating since 2017. The aim of the scholarship program, which takes place within the framework of the Hungary Helps Program, is to help young people who have acquired expertise in Hungary to strengthen their local communities when they return home.

So far, hundreds of students from Africa, the Middle East and South Asia have successfully participated in the program, which has convinced our foreign partners of the success of the Hungarian model.
