New academic year. New opportunities.

On 20 October 2022, the Hungary Helps Agency officially opened the new academic year with the new scholarship holders studying under the Scholarship Program for Christian Young People who begin their studies in 2022 alongside the students currently in the Programme. The Opening ceremony was held at Church of St. Anthony of Padua.

The celebration started with a joint Holy Mass for the students, featuring the talented singers of the International Choir of St. Stephen’s Basilica. After the Holy Mass, State Secretary Tristan Azbej welcomed the scholarship holders, stressing the importance of a common culture and emphasizing that these young people occupy a special place in the hearts of Hungarians.

In particular, he stressed to the new scholarship holders who have arrived in Hungary that they have the chance to be the „salt of the earth” of their country, to contribute to the prosperity of their state. Scholars have the opportunity to develop themselves, support their own communities and return to their families with renewed strength and knowledge after graduation. That’s why this program was created.
